From the Top is America's largest national platform dedicated to celebrating the stories, talents, and character of classically-trained young musicians. We're excited that you are interested in joining us on our quest to spread the power of music in your hands.

This site is your resource for applying to From the Top's Learning and Media Lab Fellowship, which includes the following programs:

NPR's From the Top
The popular NPR-distributed program, From the Top. Applications for this program are accepted on a rolling basis. 

Learning and Media Lab Workshops 

From the Top Fellows will participate in a series of virtual workshops and educational sessions around leadership, community, and the role of musicians in today's world.

The Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award

The Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award is a need-based scholarship for musicians ages 8-18. Recipients are featured on NPR's From the Top, participate in our Learning and Media Lab, and receive up to $10,000 to help support their musical education.

**HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS**: Please note that our season is typically fully booked each year by early spring. High school seniors should therefore apply no later than December 31st of their senior year to ensure that their application is reviewed while they are still eligible to be featured on the show. Seniors interested in our scholarship award should apply no later than November 15th.
